As part of the Hindi week celebration, ICAR-CIFRI, Regional Centre, Bangalore organized a Hindi workshop on “हिंदी व्याकरण और पत्राचार” on 21 September 2026, under the guidance of Dr. Pradip Dey, Director, ICAR-CIFRI. Dr. L. N. Murthy, Principal Scientist & Head, Regional Centre, delivered the introductory remarks and highlighted the importance of the effective use of Hindi language in official communications. Dr. Gangadhar Barlaya, Scientist-in-charge, ICAR-CIFA, Regional Research Centre, Bangalore addressed the gathering and elaborated on the significance of celebrating Hindi Saptah to promote the use of Hindi as official language. On this occasion Dr. Mukul Bhooshan Singh, Translation Officer (Retd.), ICFRE-Institute of Wood Science and Technology, Bangalore, conducted a workshop on the use of Hindi grammer and correspondence. He also explained various terminologies commonly used in official letters and discussed the basics aspects of Hindi correspondence. A total 20 Scientific, administrative, technical, and contractual staff of ICAR-CIFA and ICAR-CIFRI participated in the workshop.
